Frank Tontoh and Jonathan Joseph in Clinic at Soundattak
A group of my students and myself were in attendance at the recent Jonathan Joseph and Frank Tontoh drum clinic at the excellent Sound Attak drum store in Colchester. I enjoyed Frankie’s contribution particularly, especially when we got to talking about Steve Gadd, Jeff Porcaro and Bernard Purdie, session greats from a golden era. Frank did some great work with one of my all-time favourite artists Lewis Taylor in the early 2000’s. A very funky and fabulous player.
